What kinds of writers is this retreat designed for?
The retreat is for creative writers of any genre or form, including fiction, poetry, memoir, personal essays, and hybrid or experimental forms. It is not designed for academic, technical, or professional writing.
Do I need prior psychedelic experience?
No, absolutely not! If this is new terrain for you, you will receive all the guidance and support you need.
Is participation in the psychedelic ceremony required?
The opening truffle ceremony is a central part of the retreat. The retreat is designed around the assumption that the group enters the week having gone through this experience together.
That said, no one will ever be pressured. If someone has serious second thoughts at the time of the ceremony, this will be handled with respect and understanding.
How do I get to the retreat? Is transportation provided?
Participants will receive detailed travel instructions well in advance of the retreat. On the first day of the retreat, there will be an optional pick-up service from the nearest train station. However, you are responsible for your own transportation to the Nature Temple or the pick-up point. Transportation between the Nature Temple and the Makers Barn will be provided. More details will be provided on the website soon. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with questions.
